Currently, he is a Full Professor at the Dipartimento di Automatica e Informatica at Politecnico di Torino university, Italy. He has published a number of technical papers in international books, journals and conferences in the areas of computer graphics, human-machine interaction and intelligent computing. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing and of IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine. He is a member of the Editorial Board of several international journals and of the Taylor & Francis's Encyclopedia of Computer Science and Technology. His research interests include computer arithmetic and architectures, computer graphics, electronic publications, semantics and education, and new frameworks for the dissemination of scientific knowledge. He is an IEEE Fellow, an IEEE Computer Society Golden Core member and in 2016 has received the "Spirit of the Computer Society" award. Currently, he is serving as Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Computers (2015-18), as the Chair of the Computer Society Technical Achievement Award Committee (2015-17), as a member of the IEEE Publications Services and Products Board (2015-17), and the IEEE Products and Services Committee (2014-16). He has authored and co-authored several papers in the areas of human-machine interaction, computer graphics, scientific visualization, angumented and virtual reality, distributed computing, and computational geometry. +39 011 090 7068 lia.morra@polito.it Lia Morra received the M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from Politecnico di Torino university, Italy, in 2002 and 2006, respectively, under the supervision of Prof. Claudio Demartini. In 2006, she joined im3D, an Italian company which develops Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) solutions for early cancer detection and prevention. From 2014 to 2017, she was nominated im3D Chief Scientific Officer; she guided the team developing the core CAD technology components from design up to benchmarking/clinical testing and regulatory approval. In 2017, she joined the GRAINS group as senior post-doctoral fellow. Her research interests include computer vision, pattern recognition, machine learning and computer-assisted medical image interpretation. She participated in several funded research projects. She has authored several research papers and filed three patents, and serves as a reviewer for several journals related to medical imaging.Lia Morra
