Federico Boscolo

Biography

I earned my Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics. In 2023, I started my Ph.D. program in Computer and Control Engineering at the same institution, working within the GRaphics And INtelligent Systems (GRAINS) research group. My research focuses on artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms applied to biometrics and person recognition at a distance. Specifically, I develop novel algorithms and create synthetic datasets for face and body pose recognition “in the wild”. A core aspect of my work involves multimodal biometric recognition—leveraging the fusion of face and gait data to enhance system reliability—and its practical integration into automotive vehicles, such as cockpit emergency access systems.
